Never get notified????

Phillip

Hi,
I didn't know where else to post this, so I figured I would try here.
When I post a question and check the "Notify me of replies" I never get
notified. This use to work but now it doesn't. Can some tell me why?
Thanks,
Phil

It stopped working a few months ago. MS knows of the problem, but it must be
low on the fix-it list.

The Microsoft webpage interface is broken, and has been for months.
Notification is simply dead - MS hasn't fixed it though they know about it,
and hasn't even taken the effort to warn users or remove the "notify me"
button.

Fortunately, the webpage is NOT the forum. The questions and answers are
actually on a "Newsgroup", a technology which predates the World Wide Web; you
can use Outlook Express, Windows (Live) Mail, or an (often better) Newsreader
program connected to the news server msnews.microsoft.com to view your
messages.

An open invitation to spammers, to use 'reply spam' to
generate emails to posters, so I doubt it will ever be replaced.

Fixing the interface might be a good idea, but we've seen
before that these groups are a low priority, and support from
ISP's continues to drop as well
