OK. I've given this unreliable piece of crap a more-than-fair test. Can
someone recommend a small app to "automatically" set system time at
startup which actually *works*? Win98SE.

"Dimension 4" has worked for me for many years without problems.
I think it used to be on Pricelessware, but I can't find it there now.
I use version 4.3, but there's a new version 5 now:

download the d4time50.msi, but "Save" it to your disk.
Btw. the older version 4.3 runs without installation. It just doesn't run on
XP.
There are some places on the net, where you can still get it (google).

Seconded, replaced Dimension 4 on my Win 2000 box.

I used Dimension 4 for years, nistime is smaller and free.
I seem to remember D4 started to call home...
