Hi:
I have a home network with two XP and one W-98.
When I "unshare" a folder it seems that parts of the system don't get the
word and things like "network places" still show shared files that just
don't even exist anymore.
I found a place in registry on the W98 machine where these stale names were
kept and eliminated them and I am up to doing the same on the XP machines
but it seems to me that the operating system should do this for itself.
Is there something I can do to force the machines to reset these "shared"
lists without chancing screwing about with the registry?
Thanks,
jlg
