I did something really stupid, but don't know what it was, and now it is no
longer visible to the workgroup. In the NetworkPlaces>Entire Network, the
world icons have a lock on them. How do I unlock so the other machines in
the workgroup can visit my shared folders again??

Since we can't possibly know what you did either, try doing a System
Restore to a date when the system worked. This is one of those things
that System Restore is good for.
