do i need a router to connect two computers together as both machines have an ethernet capibilities one bult in to a motherboard the other as an add on card. i cannot get them to connect
Jay, if you connect two computers directly, you need a cross-over cable.
With the standard lan cables you do not connect the accurate ports with each
other!! Cross-over or a router would do the job!!
