Networking XP Home to XP Pro

I have a laptop with XP home and a desktop with XP Pro. The desktop has the
internet connection. I can access files on the laptop from the desktop, but
not vice versa. I cannot connect to the internet through the laptop. I have
the latest updates on both computers, including SP2.

I have Zone Alarm on both computers. Should I turn the firewall off on the
laptop?
