Networking Wizard Error - PLEASE HELP =)

I just got a new computer with Windows XP preinstalled on it. I set up a
small home network with my older Windows 98 computer with Networking Wizard.
There were no problems with it, and the network worked for a month or so.
Then it mysteriously stopped sharing my All-in-one printer, and my network
died.

I tried using the Network Wizard again, and i was given a n error, the
report error screen. I reported it, and i pressed more info. It said the
error was fixed in SP2.

I don't want to let SP2 within 10 miles of my computer, is there any way I
can fix this? With out installing SP2 of course...

p.s. I don't want to have to reinstall my many applications, nor the OS
itself.

Thanx
Patrick

What is the error message? Have you run the wizard again? I find it best not
to use the wizard. To share your printer again try going to your printers and
faxes page from the Start button and right click the default printer (this is
all from the PC sharing the printer) and make sure that it is shared. Next go
to the other PC and add a printer and make sure you choose "network printer"
and follow the prompts. What I've told you should be a start in the right
direction anyway.

Any reason at all why you don't want to use SP2? I haven't really found any
issues with it other than running nmap and a view other network scanners, but
then I just use Linux for all that ;)
