Please could someone answer a question? I have a new computer with XP
connected to the internet using a DSL connection. I would like to network
with a computer that has Win 2000 Pro is this possible? Thank you

Yes. It is possible to network Windows XP with with windows 2000. Make them
to be in the same subnet.

Run the networking setup wizard on XP and accept its offer to make a client
disk for your 2000 machine. Run the client didk on the 2000 and you should
be good to go.

The Network Setup Wizard cannot run on Windows 2000.

The Network Setup Wizard is only compatible with Windows 98, ME, and Windows
XP. It isn't necessary to run the Wizard despite what the wizard says. You
can configure those options manually.
