Hello all,
I have a "quandry" with my wireless network that I hope someone on this
forum can help with.
I have a dsl modem to a Win XP computer that connects to internet. I have a
WAP device connected to that computer and two computers with wireless
adapters...one Windows XP, and one Windows 2000. Both computers connect
successfully to the wireless network (2000 through the linksys brand utility,
XP through the wireless XP config utility). However, I can only see shared
folders and access the internet through the 2000 machine. Attempts at
finding the network shares in the XP laptop and accessing the internet result
in "not found" and dns error messages.
Any ideas on why the 2000 works with the same wireless settings and the XP
doesn't? Any hints on resolving this would be MOST appreciated as I am
stumped.
Thanks in advance,
James
