Networking with XP Home

Can not get two computers to recognize each other.
Harware working OK, Names OK, just won't connect.

I have the same thing with XP Pro & 2000... Any ideas?

If there is something like MacAfee firewall, which every (re)seller installs
nowadays, disable it.

Can both computers can ping each other? if yes, make sure
they are in the same workgroup, have the same users &
passwords and no firewall between each others.
