Networking with RJ45 crossover cable

Please can any one point me in the right direction to a basic walk through
detailing how to network two XP computers with a RJ45 crossover cable,
Please !
 
Simply plug the NICs together and share a resource.

After connecting the computers with the crossover cable, run XP's
Network Setup Wizard on both computers. It will make all the right
settings and create a Shared Documents folder. You can share other
folders by right-clicking them and clicking Sharing and Security.

Each computer's shared folders will automatically appear in My Network
Places on the other computer. If they don't appear immediately, click
"View workgroup computers" to see the other computer.
