I have a legacy NT4 NetBios network running through a Linksys hub.

The new Vista H Prem. unit cannot see or detect the NT4 network,
but gets to internet (through hub and to DSL modem) just fine.

I've looked here and tried, but no avail. Is there a way to get this machine
onto this network?

Thanks for any help.

Have you turned on network discovery? Without it you probably won't find
anything on the network and other computers won't see you either. On the
taskbar click the network icon(not double click or right click) just one
click, then click network and sharing center then you will see some settings
under network, the first one should be network discovery, click to expand and
turn it on, then click apply. This should solve the problem, but if not just
look over your settings in the network and sharing center and chances are you
will find something else that's not correct.

Sorry, out of town.

Yes, network discovery is on, the NT Server has the user account
and I cannot find anything else.

I constantly get the message: '"Server" is not set up to establish a
connection
on port "File and printer sharing (SMB)" with this computer'.
