Networking Vista and XP computers

I have a workgroup of three computers – two of them are Vista and one is XP.
The problem is that though I can see all three computers on the network as
soon as I start them, during the day the XP computer disappears from the
Vista Computers. However, I can see the Vista computers on the XP screen. All
three computers have the same workgroup name. How can I fix this? Thanks.

In the vista, do "net view". Can you see the XP?

In 'net view' I can see all three computers when I turn them on, but after a
while the Xp one does not appear even in 'net view'.

You have a master browser conflict. Look at logs from "browstat status",
"ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net config workstation", from each
computer, with all 3 on and online, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this
article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download
browstat!):
