My place of business has several computers that are
available for public usage. In order for one to use them,
them must read our policies and agree to abide by them.
My responsibility is to check the cache files and make
sure that none of the policies have been violated. All of
the computers are networked together and my computer in
the back is on the same network.
I recently tried sharing the temporary internet files
from the public computers so that I could view the files
as the people were using the Internet. I opened My
Computer and highlighted the Temporary Internet Files
folder, right-clicked and under Sharing, changed the
folder from not shared to shared. When I went to my
computer in the back, it displayed the folder in My
Network Places, but when I tried to open the folder in the
back, instead of displaying the temp files from the public
computers, it displays the temp files on my computer. an
anyone explain to me why it does this and if there is a
way to fix it? Thanks in advance!
