Quick question. How can I remotely connect to/map to, another computer? I have pinged it, and have it's ip address. I would like to be able to control the 2nd computer from a remote location, be able to edit/change files etc? Any help much appreciated!

If it has file and print services running, and the ports are not blocked,
you can Map a drive to that machine using Net Use

You could also enable Remote Desktop or Terminal Services on the machine and
have GUI control.

KD,

Here's a couple websites with good tutorials about file sharing:

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

Go to this website and download VNC. I use this at work and it's great. To map the computer just right click on Network Neighborhood and click map network drive. Type the server ex. //130.177.0.0/C$ and log on to it using the user name and password
