Networking problems

hi,
I have two computers, One is a labtop with a wirless card ,desktop
computer and a D-link rountor with a wirless access point. The issue that I
am having now is that i can see the labtop computer on the desktop computer
but I can't access it.and then on the labtop computer I can't see the desktop
computer. what do I need to do for me to be able to access both computers.
