I have a new computer I built up. I put two ethernet
boards in it, one for the cable modem and one for the
Home networking router. I am able to send and retrive
information from one computer to the other via the router
connection but my client computers are not able to
connect to the internet with Internet Explorer. I have
my host cable modem card configured with the firewall and
shared for other computers to access. I can ping all the
computers from any of the other computers. I am using an
IP set up as follows on the client computers.
IP 192.168.0.* (* numbers 2-XX)
Mask 255.255.255.0
Defualt Gateway 192.168.0.1
Defualt DSN 192.168.0.1

What am I missing here?

Had a chat with XP support guy and found that one of my
client computers had a corrupted HOSTS file. He had me
delete this and all clients could then connect to the
internet.

i have the same problem like yours...but unfortunately im not able to fix it yet...just wana ask where did u find this HOSTS file and do u hav to delete this file in all the PC's including the HOST pc or just in the CLIENT pc's? thanx...
