I have ran the connection wizard on all 3 computers but I still can not get
the lap top to be in the network. The 2 desk tops are running windows 98 and
the lap top is running windows xp. Can anyone help me?

Ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on Xp in Network Connection
Properties/Tcp/IP Properties/Advanced/WINS.

You may need to run WinXp's netsetup.exe on your Win98
machines for your network to work properly.

Here are the official instructions:

On your XP machine, start the Network Connection Wizard
(Set up a home or small office network). On the second
panel, there's a link: checklist for creating a new
network" Click on it.

Near the bottom of the checklist, on the right-hand side,
you'll find a link: Configure other computers on your
network using a floppy disk. Click on it. You'll see
the instructions.

EASY WAY: on the XP machine, do a fine search for
netsetup.exe and copy it onto a floppy. Run netsetup on
each of your Win98 machines. Then they'll work better on
an XP network.

Good luck.

Good luck.
