Hi.. Been stressed by this for days! Newly installed
router and wireless adapter card. PC is ethernet to router.
Laptop wireless to router ( both 11g). PC sees files on
Laptop, Laptop not able to access files on the PC, unless I
remove the Antivirus from the PC, then it works fine! I am
able to access internet and print from either machine.
Using WIN XP home edition on both of them.
Error message reads "you might not have permission to
use this network resource. Contact Administrator of the
server to find out if you have permission."
.." Not enough server storage is available to process this
command."
Waiting for Win SP 2 to be around awhile before
installing ??? HELP!

Roy,

upgrade your antivirus program to the latest version and retest.

If that doesn't help, you could consider disabling the real-time
virus scanning and instead scan your computer regularly.

Or you could get another virus scanner. The free AVG from
www.grisoft.com is a reasonably good one.

For other possible causes please have a look at
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.

Service Pack 2 seems to have a low risk, so I would recommend to
install it straight away. However, the risk is never zero, so
take the usual precautions. Make a fresh backup before you
install it.
