Networking "Finished" installation but no connection!

Hi,

I've gone through all the steps and restarts prompted for
to network XP and ME and told that networking has
been "properly installed" but I don't see one computer
name anywhere on the other networked computer. What is
wrong???

The two computers are connected together via an ethernet
cable. As there are only these two computers, the is no
router.

What do I have to do for one computer to show the other
when I go under "all network connections" ???

I have the exact same problem, do you have any knowledge
of wat to do next or do u have a reply from microsoft?
