Networking Connection/Internet and File Sharing

hi all

I have recently encountered real difficulty in setting up my two PCs to
share internet and files.

They are both on a wireless network.

I have run the 'Setting up home or office network' numerous times

I can't get an internet connection on the Laptop (client)...

If I click on 'View workgroup computers' on the laptop, I can see the
laptop, but not the desktop (Host/server)

When I do the same thing on the host computer, firstly it takes a very long
time to think about it... but then I can only see the host in the list...

Why is this happening?

Is there any deeper settings I can play with, to try to rectify this?
