Windows XP Networking and OS

Elo all,

Im building my 1st rig and i'm gonna hook it up on a network with the familly comp so I can share the broadban connection.

Was wondering tho that if I use the same OS (literally the same disk) on both comps will it effect the micosoft validation stuff for patch, auto-update etc...

thanks for the help and i'll probably be back when it all goes horribly wrong with the new comp! :p
