Networking 2 Machines(WinXP & WinME) and Firewalls

I just set up anetwork between 2 machines. Before the
setup I disabled firewalls on all machines. The setup was
successful. Afterwards, I installed Firewall software on
both machines. Now the machines cant see each other.
1) Do I have to install Firewall on both machines?
2) Do I have to unbind File and Printer sharing from
TCP/IP on the XP?

How do I configure the Firewall on both machines if I
only install the firewall on one machine?
