Networked Laptop with IE connects to websites for first 1-2 minutes only then no more!

Hello All,

Configuration:
Lenovo Thinkpad T60
Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP2
Linksys Wireless Access Point Router with 4 port Switch

I've got a fairly new laptop which has been used previously on my home
network both cabled and wirelessly. I was out of town and tried to connect
to a wireless network (and may have mucked up wome settings) and was only
able to surf to maybe two websites before I'd get a message "The page cannot
be displayed ... The page is currently unavailable...you may need to adjust
your browser settings". After a reboot, I can get to one or 2 or 3 sites,
then bam, nothing else. Even after this point, Outlook Express is able to
send and receive e-mails. Now I'm home again, and same problem! So, it
seems like maybe a Port issue or maybe a Firewall issue.

I have turned off the Symantec Firewall and tried both with the Windows
Firewall on and off.

I have Released and Renewed the IP address. I have tried Firefox (browser)
running on a U3 enabled USB thumb drive with the same results. I also
connected a different laptop to the same wired connection and it browsed
fine with no apparent issues.

Has anybody got any ideas that might help me get this laptop back on the
net?

Thanks to all!

Mike Collins
