Networked computer list

My network consists of two machines - 1 laptop (LAPTOP) and 1 desktop
(TINYPC), both running WinXP Pro. I was having problems when logging on to
my laptop, always receiving the "A duplicate name exists on the network"
message, even though there wasn't. TINYPC could see LAPTOP, but not the
other way. When viewing networked computers on LAPTOP, none showed up.

Anyway, I've now renamed my laptop to MEDION, and all seems well. However,
when I now view networked computers, there are three listed - TINYPC,
MEDION and, yes, LAPTOP!

I can't find any way of clearing LAPTOP from the list. How do I go about
doing this?
