Hi, I have a Pc with Xp Home Sp2 and a Laptop with Xp Home Sp2 connecting to
it. I cant seem to understand this network stuff. I have a crossover cable
connecting them together and can browse the internet and print, but i can't
send and reciev files form the Pc. On my laptop I cant browse the Pc but the
Pc cant browse the Laptop (or detect it for that matter). Can Anyone help me?

With XP Home, and Simple File Sharing, you don't have too many settings to make.

Is the Guest account enabled on both computers, using Start - Run - "cmd" - type
"net user guest /active:yes" in the command window?

Have you enabled the File and Printer Sharing exception in Windows Firewall
(Security Center - Windows Firewall - Exceptions)?
