Network XP and XP Pro HELP!

To someone out there.

Tower XP (named "Mainframe" )
Laptop XP Pro (named "BOB" )
Netgear wireless router WGR 614
internet access OK

Attempt to access gives the following message:

"\\BOB is not accessible. You must have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permission.

The network path was not found."

A similar message appears when trying to access the tower from the laptop.

I'm at a loss.

Hello
Have you disabled the firewalls?
Enable Simple File Sharing
Control Panel>Folder Options>View

Hope This Helps

Simple File Sharing has been enabled on the laptop (XP Pro) no such choice
appears on the tower. (XP home)
Where (how) is the firewall disabled?
Thanks for your help.

I have fixed the issue. I do not know if this is relavent, but I first installed all the critical updates on the machine running xp pro. Then on the Host machine, in my case, the machine running xp pro I turned on "enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP and made sure the computer browser service was running. I ran the network wizard on the host and have to run the wizard twice. The first time I get the same error message, I open up the wizard again and run it and it sets up the network, I then run the network wizard on the client computer, which is xp home in my case.
