Network Wizard fails

Trying to set up a network between a XP Home machine and a W98 machine

Ran the XP Networking Wizard, made a floppy, set-up the 98 machine

Here's the killer. On the XP machine there is no network shown anywhere that I can find. It' like the Wizard was never ran. The 98 machine see's everything on the XP that is shared and shows it in the Network Neighborhood. I can even access the Internet from the 98 machine

I have tested the XP machine for problems on the RealTek OnBoard Connector, the crossover cable, the ethernet cable and all tested good. I can ping the 98 machine from the XP machine and can identify it correctly using the net view command

Can anyone tell me why the Networking Wizard won't work on the XP machine? Or can you tell me how to set-up the network manually
