Network & Virus & Problems.. HELP

So here at work we had the virus on our dial up... at the
same time the person in charge on computers/networking
resigned and didnt help with the virus.

That left me... not a good thing!

So I started Wed at 8am trying to fix the virus and
finally got us up and running Thurs. about 12 noon.
Everyone could see the network and access the internet and
we were getting mail, all seemed okay.

So since he left I needed to change all the passwords
since he was in charge of that. I call earthlink (our
dial up) and change the password and boom, we crash for
some reason.

No one can see this computer or access the internet. I
dont know what I did!!!!!!! This computer is running win
2000 and I changed the dial up password and I dont know
what happened.

Any ideas? HELP Thanks!

I should add that I just downloaded a trial version of a
firewall and I install Norton Anti Virus...

I really think the newest problem happened when I called
and changed our earthlink password.

I disabled zone alarm fire wall and I also disabled norton
virus protection...

.... and all is good!!!!!!!!!!! why? so I understand... I
mean with this worm I want a firewall and virus protection
right?
