I have a network with a domain, and my computer is just one of the
workstations we use in the network. Computers are plugged onto a JAHT 16
port switch.

My computer is a Compaq notebook EVO N1020v with WXP all updates from
WindowsUpdate.

Eeverytime I utilise more intensive use of the network resources (Outlook
mailbox sinchronization - 200MB, Large file copy 100MB+, SQL server database
move or copy operations, ...) my network halts and stops responding. My
Offline folders switch to offline mode and I cannot access my network
anymore. Thiongs I have tried:
- ipconfig /renew (Halts)
- ping ServerName (No answer)
- Repair Local Area Connection (No luck)
- Disable Enable Local Area Connection solved the problem.

The problem reaccurs immediattelly if I do some networking.

Does anyone have any Idea What could be causing this behaviour, I almost
forgot to mention, that nobody else is having this problems, so I guess it
must something on my computer, but what ?

Please help

Have you tried a different network adaptor. Sounds like
the network adaptor interface is locking up. I have had
this problem with network cards and changing the LAN card
normally cures the problem. If it is an on-board LAN
adaptor try a PC Card adaptor (PCMCIA) in one of the slots
and see if that works.

James.
