Impossible to tell, since you supplied no details. What OSs are
you using, what speed NICs, what speed of CPUs on MBs of what vintage,
how are the NICs connected (crossover cable or hub or switch or router),
what firewall and antivirus apps are you using; what datarate do you
measure, using what method of measurement, doing what form of transfer
(e.g., cut'n'paste to/from mapped network drives, or upload/download
speed to your ISP).
