Network Settings

Something must have got reset somehow. My browser (IE6)
works fine unless I reboot after which I get 'The page
cannot be displayed' regardless of what URL I attempt,
until I click 'Detect Network Settings' and then the
refresh button. Then it's ok. How do I get that 'Detect
Network Settings' to function automatically? I'm on cable.
Thanks.

Hi,

Check with your Internet provider from whom you purchased the cable internet
package. Most connections should detect the network when the computer boots
up and hence be able to connect instantly.

Well, I got my cable service over three months ago. Why
would it be happening just all of a sudden for the last
two days? No new installs or any new settings. It just
started doing it all by itself.
