Network Service problem

Microsoft is missing from the manufacturer section in the Select Network
Service, part of the Local Area Connection. How do I get it back? When my PC
starts up, I get (using Sygate firewall), a message about nwlnkipx.sys
sending a packet to 0.0.0.0, and upon looking into that, it seems related, as
I didn't normally get that message. TIA.
 
I think it might help, that the "Service Advertising Protocol" (SAP) is what
is missing. And this is after choosing "Service" in the "Select Network
Component Type". Thanks again! Oh and sorry for the double post.
