Network Seems fine but no net

I'm connected to the internet through my parents computer networked.
Yesterday my dad restarted his computer and i lost my internet connection.
The network is connected but i can get on the internet.

Any ideas why this happened and how i can fix it?

I have re run the network setup wizard but that seems to do nothing.

My network cable & cable internet goes into there computer though ethernet.
No switch or routers.

How are u sharing the internet? ICS or some other software?
Ping your parents computer, if that works ping a website.
If that works check your internet explorer settings.
If it fails ping the websites IP address. Post your results back here.

We need a bit more information, if you can ping the local network that means
the local stuff is working, but a config setup must have changed. You can try
repairing your network connection to see if that helps.

I'm sharing it though ICS, Pinging 192.168.0.1 from my dads goes through fine
but pinging it from mine gives a time out.

Allow incoming echo request is enabled. I know the network is working cause
i can print from my computer. MSN messenger says the IP is fine but there is
a problem with the gateway.

Does your computer have a static IP or DHCP?
Should be DHCP, when ICS is enabled.
