Network question

I have clicked on my computer, right clicked C, and clicked on "sharing and
security". Once there I have checked both "share this folder on the network"
and "allow network users to change my files".

Then I double click C, and right click the programs folder, and choose
"sharing and security". For some reason it will not let me check "share this
folder on the network" and will not let me check "allow network users to
change my files". Why can I check these 2 boxes in the over all C drive, but
once go inside the C drive I can not check these same 2 boxes in the programs
file. All help will be fully appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have XP Home? Home Edition does not permit sharing of users' home
directories (My Documents) or the Program Files folder although you can
share folders in those directories. Consider using the Shared Files
folder instead.

If you have Pro, uncheck Use Simple Sharing from the Folder Options
applet in Control Panel.
