Network Problems...

I'll try to detail everything...

Had a DHCP server running successfully, but crashed.
Everything was running on Windows workgroup with the name
of "abc". Replaced machine and DHCP server is running
again and assigning addresses. New workgroup name
is "def".

Here's the problem...

After replacing the DHCP machine, every machine gets
a "duplicate name exists on network" error box at
startup. When I look at network neighborhood, the old
workgroup of "abc" still exists and so does the new
workgroup of "def". Even though I've manually gone around
to all the workstations and entered in the new workgroup
names, the machines are now showing up in both the old
and new workgroups.

I've done extensive searching on Microsoft's site and the
best thing I could find related to "master browser" and
that somehow one of the workstations has taken over being
the master browser for the old workgroup and will not let
go.

How do I find which one it is and how do I "kill" it?

Thanx.

P.S. Not running WINS or DNS...only DHCP and hosts and
lmhosts files.

Yes...all the "usual" stuff has been done in an attempt
to correct the problem.

Remember, its not just dynamic clients, its affecting the
static clients as well...

Thanx.
