network problem

Hello
I have`Windows`XP desktop
It cannot connect to Internet
I can't debug the problem
1. It is connected via router, it gets the right IP with all other
parameters
2. I have 2 LAN cards in the machine both have same problem
3. It can connect to the router but not the internet
5. I just replaced router for other reason but same problem on both
routers
6. Other machines on Net can connect wireless and wired
Its just this one machine
Yesterday I managed to get it working, not sure how, today I tried
changing the IP to be fixed so I can route incoming FTP, and again it
all stopped working, I suspect driver issues
Any way to debug?

'you changed something to route incoming FTP', this implies you have
been in mucking with the router settings. Have you tried resetting the
router? or can you and not lose any good settings?

I restored router setting.

Sorry guys

I meant I restored router setting and the problem was still there.

But I it is OK now, I rebooted the PC and it works now. I am puzzled
as I rebooted many times before, I still believe there is a problem
somewhere, but will leave it as is.

Thanks any how
