Network Problem

i have several notebooks connected to a workgroup and all was ok until one of
them decided to playup. accessing shared folder and network printing dont
work most times. sometimes when i restart i can use find network place and
navigate to the folder. when i start up again its not there.

i have tried the obvious things like disabling firewalls, enabling
netbios/tcp etc but the fault still remains. it is very strange that
sometimes i can navigate to the shared folder sometimes not.

I have a router connected and internet access is fine at all times.

Thanks

Robb,

Are all of your computers notebooks types? Are they all mobile (WiFi?)? If so,
you're going to have problems. Please read my (longish) article on how the
browser works (and why it may not, in your case) (and no, we are not discussing
Internet Explorer).

If you like, post "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from each computer, and
we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):
