Hello,

Please advise one network problem.

When a Centrino notebook detect DHCP network in both
Wireless & Wire network, how can I select the default
gateway to the Wire network. Because I find that it choose
the Wireless network's Gateway to be the default. The O/S
is Win XP Professional.

Thanks.

Add a static route to your table on your laptop:

route add <destination IP> MASK <network mask> <gateway

Assign an explicit "metric" value to each connection, assigning a
lower value to the Wire network and a higher value to the Wireless
network.

To assign a metric to a network connection:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the desired connection.
3. Click Properties | Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
4. Click Properties | Advanced.
5. Un-check "Automatic metric".
6. Enter a number between 1 and 9999 for the "Interface metric"

Thanks Steve,

After I try to set the metric to 1 for wire network, it
doesn't work. We have set up IE to use the wire network
but it can't browse anything only when I disable the
wireless network apaptor.

Please advise.

Thanks.
