I can not ping my own. what is the problem? I have changed
out the NIC and no change. This is happening on two
Windows2000 Professional computers. I have another W2K
Professional and it is okay. I have compared settings and

Disable your firewalls during the testing phase. If you still have
problems and wish to repost, start a Command Prompt on
each machine and include the output from the following
command in your post:

ipconfig /all

Thanks, I disable the firewall and I was able to ping
myself. The problem began with the W2K computers were not
able to pickup the Windows XP server in the networking
neighborhood. (out of 7 only 4 were visible). Any help with
this? If I reboot, I will see it. after awhile it loses
visibility again to all 7. Help
