Network Printing problem

I have redirected LPT2: on a win2000 workstation to a
local printer on a NT4Server.
My problem is that often in my legacy DOS application on
the win2000 workstation, I get the message 'LPT2: not
ready' and I have to try several times before my printjob
goes off. Sometimes it just works.
If it is any help I have NetBEUI and TCP/IP on my
workstation, and NetBEUI on the server. I need NetBEUI
for my DOS application.

Which protocol is bound first on the client, and which for the server?

You might want to make NetBeui first and see what happens...
