network preparing and applying problem

I have a network with a domain using 2000 server and client
computers with 2000 professional. when computers starts it
takes 15 to 30 minutes for preparing and applying personal
setting but if I plug off the lan cable it takes less than
a minute. How can i solve it?
 
Run netdiag on that computer checking for failed tests and also looking in Event
Viewer for any errors. Make sure it is pointing only to domain controllers as
preferred dns servers in tcp/ip properties and never an ISP dns server on any

Can you give more details like.

Have you applied Group policies?

Have you used roaming profiles and are you saving your profile settings to
the network drive.?
