Network Places Shortcuts?

Give us a clue on this

4 Networked PC on SP2
Windows Firewall Disabled, running behind NAT Router.

File Sharing works fine on all but

Network Places Shortcuts on one PC not functioning correctly ie will
not auto locate network shares I have to manually create a shortcut.
Also if PCs with available shares are switched off network places
takes ages to display.

Deleted all shortcuts to fix delay problem but still stuck with the
auto detect glitch.

No problems at all with Network Places shortcuts or delays on the
other network PCs.

Whats going on

?

Check Folder Options, View (TAB) for "Automatically search for
Network shares & printers". Could also be a Service issue.

Checked Folder options some time ago, no problem there.

Service issues? I have gone through the services cant see anything
obvious and I have not changed any for some time now can you expand?

Last thing I remember doing before this problem appeared was put a
250Gb USB drive on a networked PC but I can't see WTF that has to do
with it. All the other PCs are fine just the one playing silly
buggers.
