Network Neighborhood

F

Fran Rhomberg

I currently have 3 domains on my network.
1=Dom1 (windows 2000)
2=Dom2 (windows 2000-child of Dom1)
3=Dom3 (windows nt4)

When browsing in network neighborhood for Dom1, I am
unable to see Dom3. Any ideas? Here are the subnets:
Dom1=10.50.5.x/16
Dom2=10.50.5.x/16
Dom3=10.1.1.x/16

Thanks, FR

Ummm...it's a different subnet and unless there is a router that allows
netbios ports than you won't see it. Specifically UDP 137,138 and you might
need TCP 139 for other things.

HI,

Do you have a Wins server or servers configured? If so are the servers and
clients configured to to use the Wins servers?
Wins is required to browse in this network configuration.
