Is this possible?
2 PCs on a simple home network.
Both have Internet access through a router.
Is there a way for me to pass a message to the other PC so it appears
on the screen?
I'm thinking of things like, "Hey, get me a beer" etc.
(No, not really. She'd kill me, lol)
Any clues?
Cheers,
Steve

Hi, Am I right in thinking that that means using windows messenger?
Mmmm, not a path I want to go down really when both PC are connected to
the Internet.
I mean, how bad does windows messenger have to be to get 1,000's of
Google pages telling you how to stop it running?

To send a message to a user.
You have to open the Task Manager first, then...

1. On the Users tab, right-click the session or user to which you want to
send a message, and then click Send Message.

2. In Message title, type the title of the message.

3. In Message, type the information you want to send to the user. To start a
new paragraph, press CTRL+ENTER.

4. To send the message, click OK.

Note
• The Users tab is displayed only when you have Fast User Switching enabled.

• Use this feature to notify users of impending disconnection, server
status, or other system information.

• You can send messages only to users whose sessions are in the active or
connected state, including the console session. ]]

I have no idea if it uses Messenger or not, try it and if it doesn't work
because you have Messenger disabled, then you'll know. I have one machine
and no network, so I can't try it.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
