Network load balancing????

ok i just installed administration tools on my xp system
and im using Network load balancing manager. I put in
all the information for both ip address for my 2 network
cards click next what am i suppose to put in for
host ?????? tried my ip's, subnet mask and default gate
ways but those dont work what host is it wanting to
connect to????

It would be helpful to understand your goal!!
I can't conceive of a reason for you to be
engaged in load balancing - perhaps I am thick!

I'm not sure of the answer, but I would think the reason for load
balancing is that each of his network cards are connected to the internet
through seperate means (ie one a T1 and another cable, or one cable and the
other (?)DSL from different companys, of course to avoid going down totally
when one company has problems). Seems to me like an expensive prospect for
a home user, but the bleeding edge is expensive .

load balancing

A technique used by Windows Clustering to scale the performance of a
server-based program (such as a Web server) by distributing its client
requests across multiple servers within the cluster. Each host can specify
the load percentage that it will handle, or the load can be equally
distributed across all the hosts. If a host fails, Windows Clustering
dynamically redistributes the load among the remaining hosts.

Load balancing is for servers. Is this a Windows server? If so then
suggest you ask in microsoft.public.windows.server.general. If not then
you have no reason to use load balancing that I can think of.
