Network issues in Vista Home Premium 64-bit

U

User_Z.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition. Since I got my computer,
every time I connect to a wireless network, I can stay connected from
anywhere from five minutes to an hour, but after a while, my wireless stops
working. I have tried resetting it and disabling and reenabling it, but all
those either have no effect or freeze my computer. So far the only solution
seems to be restarting my computer (which takes a while and can be a problem
if I am in the middle of something).

Also, my computer has been crashing (usually accompanied by the BSOD, having
the screen flash random colors, or having the screen suddenly go blank).
Windows Problem Reports and Solutions has said every time that is was caused
by my network driver, but I have tried all the solutions (except shutting off
my Internet), and nothing helps.

If the manufacturer of the wireless adapter hasn't got a driver that works
without crashing you'll need to get a different wifi adapter.
