Network - event err 8003

Win2k sp4, std home office network
This pc 'Desk' other 'PAL'
Noticed an event id 8003
'The master browser has received a server announcment from the computer PAL
that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transprt
NetBT.............'

I have set the Computer browser service to manual, which cures any err,
however not sure if this was the correct procedure, or if something else
should be amended.
The relevent MS kb I found seemed to refer to a server / domain setup

For the Windows NT'ish machines

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters

Set all but the pc designated as browse master to

MaintainServerList = "Auto"
IsDomainMaster = "False"

On the win9x machines, Control Panel|Network, then on the "Protocols" tab
scroll down to "File and Printer sharing for Microsoft Networks, then
"Properties", then for the "Browse Master" property, choose "Disabled"

and you'll have no more elections.

The master PC shows the settings as;

Default: (value not set)
MaintainServerList = "Auto"
IsDomainMaster = "False" should this be 'True' ?

'Child' PC has identical settings

Both win2k sp4
