Network drives disappearing

I have this problem where I will log in and my network
drives will all be there due to a login script. However,
after some time, one may disappear that is not through the
login script, rather through user manager on a domain
controller. Sometimes its there, sometimes its not.
However, no matter if My Computer shows the mapping or
not, I'm still able to access it by way of a shortcut I
created on the desktop. However, I want to know why its
disappearing and how to stop it. By the way, it only
happens on laptops. I am stumped. Anybody seen this before?

I have a similiar problem. Started about three weeks ago. First on
laptop and now more, all XP. The network drives are mapped via logi
script, sometimes one or more drives don't appear in windows explorer
But if you go to map network drive it thinks it is already mapped. Ca
only be removed by using net use /delete and then remap it. The proble
seems to be fairly new and as it is only occuring on a few computers
am suspecting a MS Patch has done something I just don't know what yet
Will have to fix soon as users will not be happy to continually rema
drives everyday.
