Win2KproSP4 WorkGroup
My Network Places>Computers Near Me>Shows "GX3" (MyComputer) o.k..
Click on "GX3" shows "Printers" & "Scheduled Tasks" only, but no longer
shows "GX3" drive C: connected to the LAN...

It wouldn't by default. You must share out resources and assign appropriate
permissions for those users.

Willard,
local drives are shared by default as administrative shares - i.e. they are
hidden (their names end with "$") and their access is restricted to members
of local Administrators - so they would not show up in the browse list. "No
longer" in your post seems to imply that you have seen it there before -
which would mean that you have shared it as a regular, not hidden share - is
this the case?

The drive did show in the original notebook Win2Kpro installation, but
since I reinstalled a retail version of Win2kpro it does not show up..

The original Win2K showed a NetBEUI protocol..
This recent installation does not, even though the drivers are in the
root directory..
